About Volunteer Tours

A volunteer tour is more than just a vacation! You work as a volunteer in local projects in Asia, Latin America or Africa. You will also get to know and discover the country through excursions. You will learn more about the culture of the country, language and traditions through workshops and courses. It is a mixture between doing good and pleasure! It’s time to make a difference.

The willingness of wanting to help other people around the world is huge, but how? Volunteer Tours offer places at projects in Thailand, India, Peru, Ecuador, South Africa, Ghana and Senegal. We give you the opportunity to work with school projects, orphaned children, health projects and disadvantaged residents where volunteer efforts makes positive results in the lives of less fortunate people. The aim of the projects is to improve the living conditions for the locals in these countries. But the exchange is mutual. The volunteer will get to know another culture, maybe another language and make new friends for life.

Volunteer Tours welcome everyone to join this adventure, those who wants to discover something new and are willing to share his or her experiences and knowledges. We offer meaningful volunteer opportunities where accommodation, language course or another type of course and food are included, among other things. The traveller is guarantied a secure and safe volunteer period and will be provided with all necessary information before departure. Volunteer Tours cooperates with local organisations in order to be able to guarantee quality. You will also get a strong field support of the local in-country coordination and their professional staff members. Most important is that these local organisations secure that the efforts our travellers and volunteers make, will make a difference for the locals in the different countries.

Volunteer Tours is run by Maria Olsson, Stefan Sterve and Emma Höjer. All of us have broad experiences from international work. We have experiences of working as volunteers, youth exchanges and travel production management and we also have deep knowledges of the countries we work with.
